Marine Steel Fabrication
Since we started back in 1981, one of our “secrets” was utilizing a land-based fabrication yard. For the past four decades, we’ve owned and operated an onshore, marine steel fabrication site, now located on the Gulf Intracoastal Canal in New Orleans. This location allows our team of highly-skilled fabricators and welders to safely and efficiently construct many of the structures we build for our clients.
Building on land, we can expedite our schedules while ensuring quality welds. In fact, we rework <1% of our welds. Additionally, many of the welds required for these structures would be impossible or dangerous to complete on the water.
Once our fabrication team’s work is done, they load the structures onto a barge and float it to our clients’ sites to safely install. This land and marine construction combination allows us to drastically reduce the manhours required to complete a project, thus expediting schedules, reducing downtime for our clients, and we pass additional financial savings on to our clients.
